Time Event

Mozilla and RedHat 8
I was forced to take the dive into Red Hat 8.0, because I finally hit a bug in GCC 2.96, which could not be mitigated or avoided, and which absolutely trounced my personal project! So, install I did, and since my partitions hadn't been resized since 6.1; I did a lot of resizing, gave myself a local /usr/local, which I hadn't had before now, and then formatted everything except /home. I've spent the last 24 hours replacing the lost packages.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Mozilla 1.2.1 was the only package that I could not reinstall from the download! It wants an older libc++, which I no longer have or want. I was impelled into the hated "compile it yourself" chamber, from which I am now only slowly emerging. My only other option was Mozilla 1.0.1, which comes with RH8. Nononono! I am not going back! You can't make me!

Has anyonelse compiled Mozy 1.2.1 from source under RH8.0?
